The following will outline the application process and what is expected from you as an applicant and future member.
Dead Friends Recruitment Criteria
Generally, we recommend the "try before you buy", approach to membership, play with us and join our TeamSpeak, our website and then there is a strong likelihood that you will receive an invitation.
The application process can take between 4 - 12 weeks, although, it can vary dependent on your level of activity and interaction with existing members. The review period is to allow you and us the time to get to know each other and to ensure we both make the right decision.
During the application period your conduct and interaction will be assessed. As an applicant to Dead-Friends [DEFR] there is an expected level of conduct which must be adhered to and certain conditions to be fulfilled:-
Rules & Expectations
You must leave all other platoons and communities; this is a demonstration of your commitment to the application process and helps to remove all conflicts of interest.
The use of TeamSpeak is mandatory; applicants are required to be on TeamSpeak at all times while playing games. (Do not simply sit in AFK there are plenty of empty channel if you wish to game in quiet).
TeamSpeak is not only crucial for the creation of community spirit and the formation of close bonds with other members, it is also extremely important for community management.
[Please note TeamSpeak is also an Instant messaging system, if you do not have a microphone it is still possible to use it you will simply listen to others talking.]
Applicants who do not participate in group communications and more importantly co-ordination using TeamSpeak may find their application rejected.
As an Applicant you represent everyone in the [DEFR] community; as such abusive or racist language is not tolerated and will result in your application being terminated immediately. This applies to communications in TeamSpeak, Game Servers, Forums and the Website.
Simple rule Treat everyone the way you wish to be treated, this applies everywhere within the [DEFR] community and externally as a representative
You are expected Join platoon, division of the game/games you are involved in. Please ensure to make use of the appropriate TeamSpeak channels.
Applicants are expected to play on our servers so they can be evaluated; failure to play on our servers regularly will result in your application being rejected.
You are NOT expected to be online 24/7, we are aware players have real lives. However, if you expect to be away for any length time, please use the Shoutbox or inform a member of your absence. Your application will be rejected after a period of prolonged inactivity.
As with any good diner party, the following topics are to be avoided in chat and TeamSpeak.
Politics, Religion and Sex,
If you want to talk on these subjects then there are plenty of other places on the web to do so. There are also private channels on TeamSpeak for those who cannot resist.
Above all else the Dead-Friends community is for likeminded gamers, we are here to make friends, have fun and relax.
For those who are fortunate enough to become [DEFR] Members the following benefits will be available
Access to all forum areas
Access To [DEFR] member only competitions
Admin rights on all servers can be requested at any time - Please be aware that training will be required.
Ability to nominate players for Membership
Apply to existing site admins for full admin status - To help with website development
Help direct the future direction of the community at community meetings
Permanent reserved slots on all servers
Ability to request for servers for other games, if there is an interest within the community.
To be involved with all aspect of the community as little or as much as you want.
